CREDENTIALS Sally Wood; A.S.A. Certified , is a 1962 graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science Degree. She was an owner of The Jefferson House Antique and Gift Shop in Newnan, Georgia, from 1970-1986, and has twenty years experience as an appraiser of antiques, silver and household contents. Ms. Wood is an Accredited Senior Appraiser in the American Society of Appraisers (A.S.A.), tested and certified in Antiques and Decorative Arts as well as Residential Contents. In 1995, she attended the A.S.A's 30 hour course on Fine and Decorative Arts and successfully completed the exam. Carlene Collins; A.S.A. Certified, with five years of previous experience, became a senior member of the American Society of Appraisers in 1991. Certified in Personal Property/Antiques and Decorative Arts, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Georgia and in 1996 received a Master of Science degree with a major in Valuation from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri. Her study included three summer sessions on campus with projects throughout each year ending with a culminating thesis which focused on Gustav Stickey and his Arts and Crafts furniture. In 1995/1996 she served as an Officer for the Atlanta Chapter of the American Society of Appraisers and for several years served as the Georgia Deputy District Director for ASA's Region 1, and also served as Personal Property Membership Chairman for the Atlanta Chapter, and has served as a consultant in antiques for the Atlanta Home Improvement Magazine. She has been an avid reader and collector of antiques for over 35 years. |
